We have had an insane amount of snow this year. One storm after another. It kind of reminds me of my winters here as a kid. Oh Utah!
The kids have been in heaven. White, cold, fluffy, wet, happy Heaven.
Piper is getting really sick of watching Ellie and Jonas head out to the backyard, day after day, to play in the snow. She loves to be outside. Thing is, we didn't really plan for this kind of snow, as far as our ONE year old is concerned. We decided this week that the snow might be here to stay for awhile, and so we headed out in search of snow clothes for Miss P. No luck. Turns out snow bibs and boots in Piper's size are pretty much impossible to come by, especially this far into winter. Swim suits were hanging on the racks at Target.
Awesome.
Well this afternoon, Piper finally broke me. I couldn't take her whining as she laid on the floor by the sliding glass door, begging to go outside with Ellie and Jo. Piper's only coats are wool and fleece, so..... we broke out the size 2T puffy coat that I bought a week ago on clearance (for next year). I dug Jonas' old size 5 rain boots out of a box in the garage, and took her out back.
She looked pretty silly in her oversized attire, but adorable too.
She lived it up out there for about 20 minutes, walking oh so slowly around the entire backyard. Didn't even fall once! Giggling under her binka, all the way.
Ellie, giving Hopper some exercise.
Jonas has covered our entire yard with snow angels, several times this winter.
A Mama Snowman, and a "teeeeeny" baby snowman.
