We'd heard about this "Giant Frosty" that a family had built in Orem. So, we thought we'd got check it out.
Oh. my. goodness.
This snowman was ridiculously huge. Amazing. Rakes for arms and a Christmas Tree for a nose... I silently prayed, for this families sake, that we don't get a couple of warm days in a row... What a flood this frosty could cause!
You guys. I was feeling more than a little bummed, that we couldn't find it in our Christmas budget to buy Ellie a fancy wooden stable for her horses. "She neeeeeeeds it", I plead with Ryan. But, I'm pretty much an overindulging, sometimes selfish, idiot. Ellie, not even knowing that fancy stables exist, made her horses a stable out of a cardboard baby wipe box. It totally did the job, and she was proud of her creation. And, so was I.
Post nap snuggles. I love Piper's sweet, shy face in these pictures. She loves to see herself on the screen with the reverse camera. You can barely see, but in this picture below, she is pointing at the screen.
Morning snuggles in the recliner, with all of her friends.
Busted little feet. Pulling diapers and wipes out of the bathroom cabinet. We can't leave the bathroom door (any of them) open for even a second. She stays away from the toilets (phew), but the cabinets, oh the cabinets!
Piper saying, "Mom. Mooooooooo-um. Mom!" in the car. She thinks she's so funny. She is:)
Fake laugh. Face in hands.
Fake laugh. Face in hands.
Fake laugh, dramatic bend in half.
She spins! And, spins! And, spins...
(She also loves socks. When she sees me folding laundry, she goes for the socks and asks me to put them on for her. Today, she pulled these bright pink ones out of the basket, and we put them on over the white pair she was already wearing. Awesome.)
Oh she thinks it's so funny to take off running, post bath.
I decided that I really like Valentine's Day.
And, that I'm going to make it a big deal around our house.
I mean guys, it's a holiday about LOVING EACH OTHER.
What's better than that?
I also decided that we are going to start Valentine-ing at our house, mid January. January is such a rough month! I got these little mailboxes at Target, at the dollar spot. Score! (I also bought them as Teacher Valentine's for E and J's Teachers. Genius, right?) The kids decorated them with stickers, and I put their initials on them. So much love has been written, and drawn, and shared. It's been so so fun.
I've been crafting! Ellie has revived my dying craft soul. Hallelujah! (Have I mentioned that having a 9 year old daughter to craft with, is pretty much what the best lives are made of? Yep. Truth.) Ellie picked out our paper for this garland, and we cut the hearts out with my Cricut Machine. Then she threaded her sewing machine with hot pink thread, and we each sewed a long strand.
Boom! (She also took the picture.)
Boom! (She also took the picture.)
Dueling Wreaths.
I checked on Piper while she was napping one morning, and the little chin tucked in to her chest, body curled on its side thing that she had going on? It was nearly irresistible. I had to fight my urges to pick her up and cradle her in my arms. (If I believed for a second that she would've stayed asleep in my arms, I would have gobbled her right up.) Snug little fuzzy headed bug.
She loves to be under my our covers.
Tiny Baby in Big Bed.
Jonas and Daddy, after they had returned home from "Dads and Doughnuts" Day in Kindergarten. Jonas had shed his coat (?), and it was pretty dang cold outside. (Nice hood, Ry.) The report for Ryan: Jonas showed me everything in his book box, and read to me. There are some weird dads out there. The report from Jonas: The doughnuts were small. But, it was okay because they were chocolate, and I got four of them.
Moon Landing. A pretty rad sensory table activity for Space Science Camp, in preschool. I played with it for a good ten minutes before class started.
She pinches her neck like this when she is tired. She used to do it to my neck, as an infant, while I would feed her.
Cuddles in the sunlight. (Stickers on the belly.)
Our friends built a snow hill in their front yard earlier this month, (Remember how the snow has been insane this winter?!) and Ellie and Jonas thought it was pretty much the coolest, funnest thing ever.
It kind of was. (And, still is. It's still there! Coldest winter ever!)
And, helmets while we sled. That's how we roll!
Piper begs for Mickey Mouse Club house at least twice a day.
I cave, about twice a day. We used to have this thing called a "No TV until two year old". Eh. Third babies get to break all the rules. But, I tell myself it's okay, because she really only wants the opening song, and then I fast forward it to the end where they do the Hot Dog Dance. No biggie.
That one time when I nearly burned down the house because I forgot about the pot of binkas boiling on the stove. Sanitize at all costs! Ugh. The house smelled for three days, and I melted Piper's 1st birthday binka, the one with the pink cupcake on it. I'm embarrassingly sentimental about stuff like that. Boo!
Lashes. Beautiful Profile.
Three sleeping babes, during an afternoon of running errands (Ryan was driving). Love 'em, I do.
